-Psalm 147:3 (NIV)
Our health and well-being matter to God.
Throughout the Bible, there are multiple examples where Jesus went about healing and delivering all who came to Him for relief.
Today, He continually demonstrates compassion for those who are suffering, love for those who are in pain, and freedom for those living in bondage.
Reading Scriptures on healing can impart life, hope, and comfort to our weary bodies, minds, and hearts. As His beloved children, we can come to God with our requests and know that He hears and sympathizes with our pain.
When our bodies are afflicted with sicknesses, healing Bible verses give us a new perspective. Our bodies are considered the temple of the Holy Spirit and as such we are instructed to honor and take care of ourselves (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
The healing prayers found throughout the Bible align with this hope and impart well-being and restoration to us when we face physical sickness.
Anxiety, despair, and the pressure of everyday life can attempt to steal our peace and joy. However, we are not alone in our struggles.
We have a Savior who sympathizes with our difficulties and understands the pain that exists in our minds, hearts, and souls (Hebrews 4:15). Comforting Bible verses can lead us to find strength and recovery in Christ as we draw close to Him.
