Does participating in ACS cost me anything extra?
You can participate in Advantage Care at no additional cost. We’ll connect you to fast-tracked, high-quality care at a competitive price. In fact, you can save money with ACS—members with qualifying medical conditions will receive a $1,000 credit that they can apply to their unit’s Personal Responsibility amount for the year!
What is the process like to participate in ACS?
When you have a qualifying medical condition, all you’ll need to do is email us your medical records and completed Sharing Request Packet. The sooner you send those items to the Advantage Care Team, the sooner you can participate in the advantages!
What determines the quality of ACS providers?
The first thing we look at is a provider’s procedural success rate. In other words, are their patients cured and healing well? When researching providers, we also look at their education and the number of years of experience. Location and member preferences are also taken into consideration.
What if I need to travel for my ACS procedure?
Yes, you and one other family member or caregiver could potentially have travel expenses shared by CHM depending on how far you travel from your home. Contact us by calling (800) 791-6225 ext. 5035 or emailing ACS@CHMinistries.org for more information.
Will I still have a Personal Responsibility if I participate in ACS?
One of the perks of participating in ACS is that you receive a $1,000 credit toward your unit’s Personal Responsibility (PR) for the year. If you’re a CHM Gold participant, you’ll save on your entire PR amount—that means no out-of-pocket costs. CHM Bronze and CHM Silver participants will also receive a $1,000 dollar credit, significantly reducing their out-of-pocket Personal Responsibility cost to providers.
What if the medical event doesn’t qualify for ACS participation?
If your medical event is eligible per the CHM Guidelines but doesn’t qualify for Advantage Care participation, your medical bills will be shared through the normal CHM sharing process as outlined in the CHM Guidelines.
Is ACS available for Medicare/CHM SeniorShare™ participants?
ACS is not available for Medicare participants. While ACS cannot function in conjunction with CHM SeniorShare™, you still receive great perks while lowering your monthly contributions as a CHM SeniorShare™ participant.
